So, here we go! I have wanted to begin this for about 3 years, so procrastination is definitely one of my gifts......What time like the present, with everyone scared to death and stuck inside, now forced to read a blog by an amateur writer who writes about Jesus, but has no Bible degree or formal training.....What could possibly go wrong?
To start, let me say that no matter who reads this I hope it brings encouragement if you need it, laughter if you need that, and maybe tears, if you need your face cleaned off! One of the burdens of my heart has always been this idea that "church" people are supposed to be good and read their Bibles every day and and be the light of Jesus to the world and when I realized I didn't feel like I was good and I didn't read my Bible every day and was anything but a light, I just gave up and decided God couldn't use me.... Ah, but how cruel AND kind is age. It was only after I began reading my Bible and becoming familiar with Jesus that I finally got it....Nobody is good, they are just good actors and many people act like they read their Bible, but they don't and I can only be light to the world if I allow it to burn in me. Jesus wants my heart and all my broken-ness so that He gets the glory! It is HIS salvation to us that He wants to accomplish. I will not promise this blog of mine will always be politically correct or scholarly, but I will write from the heart and I will be real with you, my readers! I love you and wish you Hope on this journey!
